PAYware Mobile for iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4 is a powerful new tool for processing credit cards. A downloadable application works in conjunction with the PAYware Connect payment gateway and your merchant account to process transactions with your iPhone. A secure encryption sleeve allows the credit card to be swiped, and the transaction is encrypted end to end. Setting up PAYware Mobile is easy.
Next, choose ‘Setup Account’ again, and select ‘Merchant Settings’. Here you will be able to enter your merchant information, choose settlement options, and even customize your email receipts. If you have multiple iPhones connected to a single PAYware Mobile account for additional employees, you can also set up for those users. In this section, you will enter your Client ID that is issued to you from your PAYware Connect Administrator.
You will need to register your iPhone with the PAYware Connect payment gateway. Your Connect Administrator will let you know which option to use to register (live or demo), and will provide you with your client ID, user ID and password, all of which you will need to register. Go to the Merchant Settings screen, enter the Client ID, and choose ‘Register iPhone’. Input the user ID and password, and hit continue. Upon successful authorization, you will receive a ‘Device Key’ that is automatically entered into your iPhone. When registration has been successful, you will see ‘Sync/Resync’ on your display. If you have multiple phones on your account, you will want to use the UDID method of registration, detailed in your PAYware user information.
It is highly recommended that you now run a test transaction (for a $1.00 amount). Running this test will let you know that your account is working correctly. Be sure your transaction goes through the process and the money is actually deposited into your bank account!
You can now configure details specific to your business model. By following the prompts in the app, you can have your account set up quickly and you will be ready to process credit card transactions!
