Using an Android phone to process credit card transactions is both secure and easy. As long as your Droid phone has a working connection, it can be used as a mobile credit card processor so that you can serve your customers anywhere you may be.
To begin processing cards on your Droid,
download the ROAMpay application from your app store. You will enter an activation code, and be ready to begin. Log in with your user name and password, and you will be taken to a main screen. You can choose from several options, including credit sales and cash sales. Droid allows you the option to process cash sales so that you can email the customer a receipt, just as you do when you complete a credit card transaction. Using the cash sale feature also adds those sales to your records, so that you can take advantage of Droid's comprehensive sales reports.
Select credit card processing to begin your credit sale. You will be prompted to enter the sale information, then the credit card information. You will also enter the customer's billing address and telephone information, but with
Droid's reverse phone lookup feature, this can be entered automatically. If the customer has a publicly listed phone number, you need only enter that and all the rest of the information is filled in, saving time. There is also a voice option, so you can speak the information and it will be translated into text for you.
You may choose to have an email receipt sent to the client, a copy will be sent to you for your records. You also have the option of adding notes to your copy, if there is any other information about the customer you wish to remember. This is helpful for future marketing opportunities.
Once the information is entered, hit submit, and you're done! You will receive an approval code for the sale within minutes. The entire transaction is securely encrypted, ensuring the safety of your client's personal information.
If you happen to be in an area without Droid phone access, the application allows you to enter all the information necessary for the sale, and save it until access is restored. As soon as you have coverage, your Droid phone will prompt you to complete the transactions, capturing the information and closing the sales.
